|Recycled Content Declared|
|Embodied Carbon Declared||Information declared||Terracotta has a relatively low embodied carbon of ~ 13-24kgCO2e/m2(based on Terraçade TN and XP) compared to alternative facade materials such as glass (13-35 kgCO2e/m2, based on façade glass with a thickness of 6mm to 15mm). Aluminium is associated with high GHG emissions. However, the aluminium content is integral to the products performance yet it comprises only a small percentage of the overall product. Polypropylene used in the product is extracted from fossil fuels, although negligible in content contributes to greenhouse gas emissions. The product being rear ventilated facade system has insulative properties and thus is likely to reduce GHG emissions associated with generation of electricity used for cooling and heating purposes in a building.|
